WhatsApp allows you to hide your account picture from specific people

WhatsApp announced this week that it's letting users decide who from their contact list can see their profile picture, and last seen status.
Prior to the official launch, the new privacy setting was available to a select number of users as part of a limited beta.
Previously, users had three privacy options to choose from to decide who could see their profile picture, and last seen status.
The options were: everyone, my contacts and no one. But there is now a fourth option titled My Contacts Except.
With this new option, you can exclude specific people in your contacts from seeing your profile picture, and last seen status.
Note that if you choose to hide your last seen status from others, you won't be able to see their status either.
And the new privacy option is now rolling out to all iPhone and Android users around the world. You can access it by going to the Privacy section of your account settings.

WhatsApp also announced this week that it is also rolling out new features for group calling. The app now lets you mute or send messages to specific people in a call.
WhatsApp has also added a new useful indicator to make it easier for users to see when more people are joining big conference calls.
The launch of these new features comes as WhatsApp announced earlier this week that it allows users to transfer chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages from Android to iPhone via Apple's Move to iOS app.
Prior to this expansion, users had the option to transfer only chats from iPhone to Android. The platform is now offering the ability to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone in a beta phase.
And it was easy to transfer WhatsApp data from one iPhone to another iPhone, or from one Android to another Android. But users had to find difficult workarounds when moving from Android to iPhone. The new tool solves this problem and makes the switch easier to make.
